stardust, starstruck

at long last, streaks of light beams gold
lunar appears, however solar
disappears, unfortunate

a cosmic ray of love, forbidden
light years apart, light
touches lunar's heart
"a time with solar," manifests lunar
"i will have my time, i know it"

day after day, solar peaks, lunar gazes
the bright and big and far away
doesn't yet know such celestial body exists

their love
a delicate dance between shadow and light
finds refuge in the in-between
an eclipse, an illusion, their lips meet
a silent opening of the mouth, gasps, what is this delusion?

in crowded streets of tech savvy self-absorbed hypocrites with their confused faces judge what they cannot ever understand that love comes in all forms and sizes
that their love is a beacon in the darkness, illuminating our world for days and days on end

their love a radiant defiance against shadows of intolerance
for theirs is a love story written in the language of stardust
a testament to the enduring power of connection in a world with overwhelming information with little to no comprehension

the world may not be ready for their truth
but they are, as long as they are
rotating and revolving and dancing
them golden lines trace the curvature, the contours, their bodily forms entwined
two celestials in an eternal orbit
moving, breathing, peace

i love you to the moon
i love you to the moon

wheel do

inside the bus, still and constant
outside the glass, a constant change
trees, houses, lights, cars, all moving past

i left you
but you are moving too
to somewhere new, continue

daylight fades and the cityscape artificially lit; a distant murmur, a distant laugh as rain tickles window glass
here, in the soft glow of the screen, a different kind of work began. not the rushed, pressured kind, but a slow deliberate process
the silence was a blanket, a peaceful solitude that allowed for a deeper focus
the world outside can wait. this is a space for a quiet concentration, a moment of calm after a long day
